Load Limiters

Load Limiters and Crane Management

ControlSMART has chosen INDILoad limiters and crane management systems because of their quality and integrity.

DON'T RISK A CATASTROPHIC FAILURE IN YOUR WORKSHOP

It's easy to avoid. With a load limiter, now compulsory in many countries, if you try to lift a load which is too heavy the crane just stops and only allows you to lower the load.

There are two types of load limiters.

Mechanical load limiters. These cannot distinguish between transient and continuous loads and may cause nuisance tripping.

Electronic load limiters. These can ignore transients.

The load itself is measured by a load cell, which can be in the form of a pin placed in a support or an attachment to the crane wire. With electronic limiters the load value can be displayed on an LED panel and/or sent by radio to an Ikusi controller.

DO YOU KNOW FOR CERTAIN THAT YOU HAVE NOT EXCEEDED YOUR SAFE WORKING LIMIT?

Don't let your crane tell you it needs a service by collapsing in front of your eyes.

An INDILoad crane management system will log the crane's history and calculate the SWL. It can also be used to limit lifting speed according to load.
